Truthometer gone haywire

I was on the treadmill this morning watching Morning Joe when Bill Adair, the respected D.C. correspondent for the St. Pete Times came on. Adair created the TruthoMeter during last year’s campaign and it gained a fair bit of notoriety. See, so much of what is alleged by candidates in campaigns falls into the gray area. Journalists love it when they can get someone, especially someone who is allegedly neutral, to assert whether a claim is true or false.

Anyway, the producers of the show pulled up a video of Obama promising last October to pay an incentive of $3,000 for each job created in America. They spun that campaign promise through Adair’s new “Obameter” and it honked “BROKEN.”

Please, it’s roughly 30 days into the Obama Administration. Can anyone really claim whether that’s a promise kept or broken after a month? That’s nuts!
